Yorkshire Terriers are hugely popular dogs around the world.

Initially bred to hunt vermin in the cotton and wool mills in England in the 18th century, they soon became popular with Victorian ladies.

While the breed suffered a hit throughout World War I and World War II, the Yorkshire Terrier rebounded in the second half of the 20th century.

Nowadays, they’re small size makes them perfect for apartment living or dog lovers who live in big cities.

Yorkies are the tenth most popular dogs in the United States of America, according to the AKC.
