Shelties can often be confused for a smaller sized Rough Coated Collies.
Hailing from the rocky Shetland Islands, the United Kingdom’s northernmost point, Shelties were used to herd sheep, ponies, and poultry.

It’s time to meet Yoda, Jaime and Irmo (@sheltie.liebe). Their profile has a fun description of these three Shelties that we’ve translated from German: From life with a Jedi master, a domesticated woolly creature and a growing pirate. This trio of Shetland Sheepdogs have over 15,000 followers.

Bobby (@thebobster_sheltie) is also know as the travelling Sheltie. We’ve left Germany but we’ve only gone as far as Vienna. This Austrian-based Sheltie likes to travel the world, proudly declaring that he’s peed in Austria, Canada, Hungary, Croatia, Italy Poland and Czech Republic. That’s quite a CV!
