The Weenect Dogs 2 GPS is easy to get up and running. Once you receive the tracker, you should charge it fully before you attach the tracker to your dog’s collar using the silicone case provided.
It’s worth noting that the battery should last up to 3 days so you don’t need to charge the Weenect device every night.
To turn on the tracker, you hold the on/off button for three seconds until you feel a vibration.
If the yellow LED blinks rapidly, it’s trying to establish a connection to a mobile network. When the LED blinks twice, you’re connected. If this is followed by the blue light flashing once, the tracker has established a GPS position.
In the Weenect app, you should now see that you’re connected to your dog’s GPS tracker and you can use the array of features available at the end of your fingertips.

Our Verdict
Weenect sent a Weenect Dogs 2 GPS tracker for us to try. I placed it on my Alaskan Klee Kai collar’s with ease. I wasn’t sure whether she would find it uncomfortable but my Klee Kai didn’t even appear to notice it was there.
The device was easy to set up and the app is self explanatory. I was quickly able to use the ring and vibrate features to my advantage as my mini husky would return to me when she felt the vibration or heard the ring.
Living in the British countryside, it’s great that the tracker is waterproof. In fact, it’s 100 per cent submersible (up to 1 metre deep).
As dog owner who lives in the countryside, I often worry my Klee Kai might be able to find a way out of my garden given the breed are known to be escape artists.
I found the geofence feature extremely useful so I could set up a safe zone. The notifications when my Klee Kai left a safe zone were instantaneous.

However, if you want a little more from your GPS tracker such as activity monitoring, Weenect 2 Dogs GPS doesn’t have this feature. So you won’t be able to see your dog’s active minutes every day. Having said that, it does have a location history so you can see where your dog has been.
