Most breeders will request that owners take out pet insurance on their new puppy.

You never know when an accident might occur as our pets can often get themselves into mischief.

Pet insurance can cover against the unexpected as you don’t want to be left with the difficult choice of saving your dog or depleting your life savings.

There are over 8.5 million dogs and 8 million cats in the UK, proving that we really are a nation of animal lovers.

You’ll find lots of options to choose from when it comes to finding the right pet insurance provider for you and your pet. In fact, it can be a confusing and overwhelming experience.

Waggel was created out of a desire to provide pet owners with an alternative option away from the often confusing and infuriating experiences that are sometimes associated with making a claim.

They want to give pet parents peace of mind that their dogs and cats are protected against accidents or illnesses, allowing us to get the most out of our relationship with our dogs.

Founded in 2018, they created a membership-based pet insurance platform that is “fully loaded and transparent at its core”.

Waggel offer their members the chance to avail of rewards such as fun experiences, valuable services and offers from hand-picked bespoke partners. Some of these partners include Butternut Box, Wisdom and Protect My Pet.

They explain that the idea behind these additional benefits is to ensure pet owners who aren’t making claims can still get value from their membership.

Waggel outlines on their website the three key values behind their service: joyful, personal and bold.

Waggel provide a modern approach to pet insurance.

Having dealt with a number of pet insurance companies in the past, I found making a claim to be confusing, overwhelming and stressful.

There was always lots of paperwork involved, uncertainty about when I would be reimbursed and confusing talk of excesses.

However, Waggel provide a transparent service that is easy to follow on my smartphone. Making a claim couldn’t be easier.

I love that Waggel provide members with the chance to win exclusive prizes, as well as discounts from bespoke partners.
