Our Verdict
Having previously tried the Petcube Bites 2, I was interested to see how the Lite model differed from the more expensive pet cam.
It was much easier to set up which I think speaks to the advancements that Petcube have made overall with their app and set-up process.
The camera itself worked just like the pricier pet cam with a clear image, two-way audio and a treat dispenser.
I preferred the subtle light gray and white color as opposed to the darker gray color of the Bites 2.
Seeing as it’s significantly cheaper, I’d go for the Bites 2 Lite ahead of Bites 2 if you’re on a budget even though it does have less microphones and is made of plastic.

If we compare it to the pricier Petcube Bites 2, it’s clear that the material is plastic rather than aluminium and steel. It has one microphone rather than four microphones.
Otherwise, the difference appears to be the price – and that’s a positive!
